17/05/07: The match was called off at the last minute by the referee on Sunday, as the rain made all the pitches unplayable. The end of season do is on May 25th at the club. £10 for players, £5 for guests.

23/04/07: Wantage lost 3-1 to Marlow yesterday. Gemma Lawton scored for Wantage. The next match is on Sunday 29th away against Newbury.

19/04/07: Wantage beat Winnersh 7-1 in their match last night. Tanya Adams scored 4, while Chloe Groves, Gemma Lawton and Joyce P. all scored 1 each. The next match is against Marlow on Sunday, which is being played in Grove.

16/04/07: Wantage lost 2-0 in their match away to Marlborough yesterday. The next match is scheduled for Wednesday 18th at home against Winnersh. Kick-off is 7:30pm.

10/04/07: The next match has been confirmed for Sunday 15th April away against Marlborough. Directions are available for download on the Fixtures page.

05/04/07: The Table has been updated according to the Thames Valley web site. We are still waiting to hear if the next match will be played on Tuesday, Thursday or Sunday.

02/04/07: Wantage beat Winnersh Rangers 7-3 yesterday, with Chloe Groves scoring a hatrick. Gemma Lawton and Tanya Adams also scored 2 each. There's no game this Sunday due to the Easter break.

29/03/07: The team worked hard and played well last night to beat Chinnor 1-0. Gemma Lawton scored for Wantage. Directions to the next match on 1 April against Winnersh have now been added to the Fixtures page.

26/03/07: The team lost 6-2 yesterday in a frustrating game against Hillingdon Abbotts. Tanya Adams scored a penalty for Wantage, with Helen Hayward scoring the second. Player Stats page has now been updated. Special apologies to Charlotte for the delay who scored her first goal for Wantage on 4 Mar! Congratulations Chocolate! Player Profile photos have also been updated.

21/03/07: The last match was cancelled because Reading couldn't get enough players. The next match is scheduled for this Sunday 1st April against Winnersh. The Fixtures, Results & Table page has been updated. The Player Stats page will be updated shortly.

27/02/07: The match was cancelled last Sunday due to water-logged pitches. A link to the Wantage Girls Football Club has now been added to the Useful Sites page.

20/02/07: The Fixtures page has been updated. There are 3 matches yet to be scheduled for Wednesday evenings, which will be added once the details have been confirmed.

12/02/07: The matches on Sunday were postponed due to not being able to play on any of the pitches. It is still unsure as to whether there is a match scheduled for this Sunday 18th.

08/02/07: Wantage are playing a double header against Winnersh on Sunday. The first match starts at 1:00pm and last for an hour with a 10 minute half-time break. The second starts 20 minutes after the end of the first match.

07/02/07: Wantage were down 9-2 against Wolverton Wasps in the cup match played on Sunday before they had to abandon the match for going down to 6 players.

02/02/07: The next game is a cup match against Wolverton Wasps. Players meet at Wantage at 11:30, unless going directly.

22/01/07: Wantage Town Ladies Football Club are proud to announce their new kit sponsor Infineum, who have kindly invested in the team. The players were extremely happy in their brand new kit yesterday and were glad it brought them a win against local rivals Stanford.

22/01/07: Wantage won the local derby beating Stanford in the Vale 1-0, wearing their brand new kit for the first time sponsored by Infineum. Chloe Groves scored for Wantage and Angie Cross was Player of the Match.

05/10/06: The match against Stanford in the Vale scheduled for the 8th has been cancelled. A training session will be held from 2 - 4pm instead.

02/10/06: Wantage lost 5-3 on Sunday and were unfortunate to suffer a few injury blows to the team. Hopefully everyone will be fit again for the next game against Stanford in the Vale.

24/09/06: Wantage pulled together this week to beat Marlborough 5-0. Gemma Lawton scored 2, Becky McMullen scored 2 and Nic Allen scored the 5th.

11/09/06: The team played well on Sunday creating pleanty of chances, but found it hard to make them count. Wantage lost 3-2.

23/08/06: The game against Brize Norton on Sunday 20th was called off. The next game is on 10th September, which is the team's first league match.

17/08/06: The team lost 4-0 in a friendly against Headington (Oxfam) last night. The team put in a lot of effort and experimented with positioning in the second half. Saz, Jade and Tanya all helped out by taking their turn in goal.

10/08/06: The match on Sunday 13th against Aylesbury has been called off. The kick-off time for the match on Wednesday 16th against Oxfam has been confirmed as 7:30pm.

08/08/06: The friendly against Oxfam has now been rescheduled to an evening match on Wednesday 16th August. The kick-off time is yet to be confirmed.

04/08/06: The team lost 2-0 in a friendly against Banbury on Sunday, a team 3 leagues above Wantage. The friendly against Oxfam due to be played this Sunday 6th has now been postponed.

24/07/06: There will be no training this week due to the Wantage men's team playing against Southampton.

20/07/06: The fourth friendly has been confirmed against Oxfam. It will be played at home on 6th August. Kick-off is 3pm.
